United Nations Says Global South Does Not Care for Global North Problems

As we watch the 24 hour per day outrage news cycle, of a constant pipeline of some outspoken group outraged over some injustice, United Nations representative Reza Lution says that broadcasting the outrage worldwide does a disservice. The outrage should be more targeted, the same way that advertisement campaigns work. News outlets and media companies in general, need to make sure the outrage is targeted at the right geography, the right gender, the right demographic, the proper age group, etc… Otherwise, the message is going to fall on def ears.

Let’s take the BLM (Black Lives Matter) group for example, complaining about racial injustices and racial discrimination. Imagine making that complaint to someone from India who has to deal with the Caste system, specifically the “Untouchables” caste for example.  And the individual in question, comes from the Dalits caste i.e. the caste that is tasked with collecting human faeces. What do you think their response is going to be to BLM grievances? Most likely it’ll be, “I’m born into a life where I have to collect human shit for the rest of my life. And you’re complaining about the fact that you live in a place where a couple of racists don’t like black people? Get over yourself!”

Let’s take a look at the Latinos living as undocumented illegal persons. What is their usual complaint, “Vato, amigo! Our lives is so hard. We can’t get good paying jobs, we want to be legal citizens. We don’t want to mow lawns for the rest of our lives.” Imagine making that complaint to one of the millions of rural Chinese people who due to their remote locations, are born without any paperwork and have to live as illegal citizens in their own country.

What do you think their response is going be? Most likely it’ll be, “You chose to be illegal! You can go back to Mexico and be legal anytime you want! I dropped out of my mother’s vagina without paperwork. At least you have a choice in the matter!”

The transgenders are another group of entitled nitwits. What is their usual complaint? “Oh my god! My life is so hard! The teachers and school administrators won’t let me use the bathroom that I identify with! Life is so unjust!” Imagine making that complaint to any school kid living in the third world. What do you think their response is going be?

Most likely it’ll be, “Your school has bathrooms? Hey nitwit! Do you see those bushes over there? That’s my bathroom! You mean to tell me you have access to a facility with flushing toilets, stalls for privacy, sinks with clean running water, soap, paper towels, a janitor that keeps the place clean every day and you’re complaining that the bathroom entrance that you have to use, has a guy symbol instead of a girl symbol? My best upgrade from the bushes is going to be a hole in the ground, and you’re complaining about bathroom signs?”

The biggest irony about these school bathrooms access discussion, is that both public school bathrooms are identical, with the only difference being that the walls of the boys bathroom is painted blue while the walls of girls’ bathroom are painted pink; everything else, is exactly the same, just without the urinals. At least for now there aren’t any urinals, who knows how tomorrow it’ll look like.

Women complaining for equal rights and equal pay is getting to be overrated at this point. First of all, let’s debunk the myth that women get paid less than men for doing the same job. That argument makes no logical sense. Every business is interested in two things, maximising profits and cutting expenses. Therefore, if women got paid less than men for doing the same exact job, nobody would hire men. Imagine making those equal rights and equal pay complaints to any woman in Asia, Africa or Latin America who live in traditional conservative societies with gender based roles. What do you think their response is going to be?

Most likely it’ll be, “You have rights? You get paid? I’m destined to a life of cooking, cleaning the house, keeping my mouth shut and raising kids, and you’re out here complaining over some imaginary glass ceiling?”

Reza Lution's advice for media outlets of the global north, if you feel that you must complain, please treat it like a Google Ads targeted campaign.  Make sure you are airing out your grievances to the right demographic. Nobody who’s been to prison wants to hear someone complaining about how hard jail was. Talking about more money more problems, is not going to yield any sympathy from someone who is dead broke.

“Oh my god! The stock market crashed!”

Shit man, at least you have stocks.
